If all the bloggers in the world were to join hands…
The blog-killer draft law is no one’s offspring. Perhaps it could be a whore’s offspring. Of an unknown father and an uncertain mother. Born in a test tube and by parthenogenesis. Apart from that of Antonio Di Pietro, no parliamentary voice has been heard in favour of the Internet. And yet it should have a certain relevance to them. Millions of Italians live it, use it, discuss it and get information from it. The draft law was presented by Franco 'Ricardo' Levi. Levi is PD. The Secretary of the PD is Veltroni. Either he knows nothing about it, as I’m told happens often, or he is in agreement. The true journalists work via the internet. You know some of them. They are called Ricca, Martinelli, Byoblu. Apologies to those I am not mentioning, but there are thousands of them. The internet expresses a different Country. If the lobotomized ones of the TV stations and the trio CorriereRepubblicaLaStampa were to get there information via the internet, the psycho-dwarf would be a permanent guest of Putin’s in Siberia and Topo Gigio Veltroni an usher in a cinema. The blog-killer law is not to be taken lightly. Even in China, they haven’t even dared to go so far. If it gets passed, the internet will disappear. I have read a lot of comments advising bloggers to move the blogs abroad or to register them with an address ending in .com, .net or something else, not subject to the Italian laws as “.it” is. Why should we do that? Let them do it with their shXt websites. It’s been years that we are the hares and they the dogs. That we are playing in defence. Every day a new rubbish idea. It’s time for a change. I feel like a sabre-toothed werewolf. It’s a great feeling. Chasing after the one running away. Hundreds of bloggers are showing their faces, their first and second names, their http address with the “FREE BLOGGER” initiative. It is they who are change. You will not stop that. ” If all the bloggers in the world were to join hands…” Send in your photos with the words: FREE BLOGGER": Send an email to freeblogger@beppegrillo.it with: - subject: your name - text: the address of your blog - attached: a photo of you with a sign saying “FREE BLOGGER”. The photos will appear in the top bar of the blog. - Article in "Punto Informatico" - Analysis by Daniele Minotti

The Country has been struck by a bad case of digital divide. Two different groupings have formed. One gets its information on the Net, while other gets its disinformation via the newspapers and the television. In certain Countries the Internet is controlled, just as the other media are and, therefore, all of the country’s citizens get the same information. In other Countries, there is freedom of information and freedom on the Internet, so those Countries’ citizens get their information from both these sources. Only in ONE Country, namely Italy, the only such case worldwide, the newspapers and the television are controlled, but the Internet not, yet! Millions of people are living in two different worlds, separated in their own homes. Within one single family, Grandpa may believe everything Vespa says, while his grandson may tell him to f-off. This is a very unhealthy situation. The more time goes on, the more this lack of communication between the two faces of Italy grows, accompanied by reciprocal intolerance. However, the Internet has two major weapons in its armoury. The youth who browse the Internet (the oldies will die long before they do), and the anorexia of advertising on the old fashioned media. Without the advertising income they will eventually close down. And that is precisely what will begin to happen. Advertising revenues for advertising space in the newspapers and the television channels are falling and are set to crash within a year. Some of the advertising will switch to the Internet, advertising space that is not controlled by a bunch of liars. They are well aware of this and they are getting extremely nervous. Confalonieri quoted me to certain financial journalists, with regard to the Mediaset share offer. I assure him, it is not yet time to buy. I only buy shares once their value drops. We will talk again when the shares in Mediaset, a company that basically lives off advertising revenues, drop to below one Euro. In the meantime, let’s appeal to the browsers (as opposed to the navigators=sailors): Please help Confalonieri. Don’t post any Mediaset clips on Youtube. It’s illegal. Fidel says so. We are all for complying with the law and cancelling every Mediaset programme that has ever been illegally posted on the Web. Let’s not pollute the media, Buddy. Three publishing houses control all the information in print: RCS (Corriere della Sera), controlled by ABI and Confindustria, Mondadori, the psychdwarf’s group and De Benedetti’s l'Espresso, Champion of Topo Gigio and Swiss asylum seeker. The Shares – losses since the beginning of this year: - RCS - 54,84 - Gruppo l'Espresso - 60,97 - Mondadori - 51,78 We’re heading down the right road guys. Where politics was unable to succeed, the economy will.

Comparison with the Cancer symbol, the Crab:
A crab is able to walk or run sideways. Similarly, Cancer natives can sometimes "move about" in life, in a figurative sense, in an indirect manner. The crab's body is covered by a carapace (shell). Cancer natives are self-protective and sensitive, and often retreat into themselves when hurt. Crabs are able to resist changes in the environment, thereby protecting themselves from hostile elements in various habitats. Similarly, Cancer natives are thought to avoid too much change, and to be on the defensive. Crabs have "complex behavior patterns" (1). The inner world of Cancer natives is thought to be rather quirky and complex. Some crabs "conceal themselves by decorating their bodies with plants and animals" (2). Cancer natives tend to try to blend in with their environments, preferring not to make a big splash in life.
Cancer's glyph, or symbol, may represent the breasts as a symbol of the nurturing qualities of the sign. |

Sweetly travelling slowing down to then accelerate

”Now we are getting ready to take a ticket for these extraordinary motorways, a ticket then that is paid on the basis of what is not well understood … whether it is the quality of the service or the quality of the investment, but in both cases it should be free. Now we are going to try some initiatives. OK! We have had enough of being taken for a ride. Motorways as was well said by the economist of the University of Bergamo, Giorgio Ragazzi who has done an extraordinary book that I encourage you to get, that explains what has happened with the motorways, liberalized in the 1990s, paid for up to the last lira by our fathers and our mothers, by our big brothers, fed to this clique of fictitious entrepreneurs with ragged arses who take the concessions for ten years to the next ten years, fix the tariffs like that and we continue to pay something that should be returned to the citizens like they have done in Germany and in England. Once the expenses have been paid, the investments have been taken back and given freely to the English and German citizens. Here instead we want to get this lot to understand that by now with normal legal means, constitutional means, we have done referenda, two million people have signed in front of a public official with their documents, first and second name, taken to the Court of Cassation, put in a cellar with the moth balls….. OK with these constitutional initiatives the citizen no longer exists. They have put a stopper in any way of hearing the voice of the citizens. OK, as I promised you we are starting off with the blog we are starting off with first person initiatives: every citizen becomes a journalist, a politician, one who informs himself. We have launched the “Breathing down your neck” campaign to take back the town councils with the web-cams and I am inviting you to do it. Go to your town councils and film them and then start to do initiatives like these. If the motorway companies like Benetton are taking our money to finance Alitalia or they are taking our money from the concessions of the citizens to buy land in Argentina and to move the capital abroad, good! We will try to give them as little as possible of this money. By avoiding motorways if it’s possible. By consuming less in the Autogrill and by trying to postpone for as long as possible the payment of the motorway tolls as we are doing now. Let’s see. Beppe: I have forgotten my money. Can you do me a bill? Toll operatorI can do a “failure to pay”. Beppe: Yes. Will it come to my home? Toll operator: Yes. It will come to your home. Beppe: Or can I pay in a “punto blu”? Toll operator: You can pay in a “Punto Blu” or in a manual entry point. Beppe: Thank you. If we give them this money in 15 days, we keep it for 15 days. Beppe: Is there something like a penalty to pay? Toll operator: if you pay within 15 days, no. On the fifteenth day onwards 2.58 euro. Beppe: 2.58 euro as a fine. OK if two or 300 thousand people were to do that Benetton would be waiting for the money for 15 days and for us it would give a lot of satisfaction! What I have to do at my age, whoever would have thought that!” Beppe GrilloSUMMING UP: The failure to collect the motorway toll at the motorway exit pay station is formalized by the issue of a report of failure to pay. The sum settled within 15 days brings no increase in the sum due. Beyond that limit the payment of the toll means 2.58 euro extra. The payment of the toll can be done in all the “Punti Blu” from Monday to Saturday during office hours, in all the motorway exit stations. Or in a post office by using a form. For anyone who is obstinate and doesn’t pay, the procedure is triggered for the forced recovery of credit with the additional expense charged to the person owing the debt. Obviously, this delay, given that it is inconvenient, we allow ourselves not to advise it, however if there’s a lot of us who delay by 15 days the payment of the tolls that involves the issue of a little report, we believe that that is the best way to start to talk about our money and where it lands up…. While waiting for developments, Beppe Grillo and his staff wish you for now, a good journey!

THREE DAYS IN PRAGUE
How to organize the three days in PragueThe river of Prague, The Moldau, can be used as a natural border for our tour. The historic center of Prague is divided in 5 quarters: On the Right bank of the river: Old Town (Staré Město), the Jewish Quarter inside the Old Town (Josefov) and the New Town (Nové Město). On the Left bank the Castle Burg (Hradčany) which includes the Prague Castle (Pražský Hrad), below the Little Quarter or Little Town( Malá Strana).
First DayI suggest to start with the Castle District, Hradčany that can be easily reached by tram 22 at the stop Pohořelec and you are already near two attractions: The Monastery of Strahov with its impressive libraries and nearby the Prague Loreto with its famous treasure. To reach the Castle I would suggest the picturesque street Nový Svět…and somebody might recall the famous Dvořak’s Masterpiece. If you are lucky in front of the Castle you might be delighted by the notes of a very good music group which normally plays in front of the main gate of the Castle.
For further information about the Castle visit: http://www.hrad.cz After this visit you might want to take a lunch break so I suggest you to walk down to Malá Strana where you can find many restaurants. In the afternoon you can walk around this picturesque quarter where you wouldn’t find a single modern building but only Renaissance and Baroque.
Second dayI would spend the first part of the day in the Jewish Museum with its rich collections and the famous cemetery.
For further information about this museum: http://www.jewishmuseum.cz After lunch break you can go around the Old Town and then the New Town with the renowned Wenceslav Square. You can visit the Charles Bridge either the first or the second day because it connects Malá Strana With the Old Town.
Third dayI would spend half of this day for more in deep visits and half day for shopping. Further information and travel tips can be found in other sections of this Site.
A very useful Site also in English is: http://www.pis.cz Looking for the address of your accomodation or a street in Prague? click here
ENJOY YOUR TRIP!

Tiny coup d’état
A blogger has told me about a change in the Criminal Code that abolishes the crime of “coup d’état” . It happened two years ago, with the next to the last government of the psycho-dwarf. But no one noticed. I admit it, not even I did. Not even the newspapers and TV stations full of journalists and P2-ist directors did. They turned the other way in the face of the turning-upside-down of article 283. Since 2006, parties, undercover masons and organised crime can do a coup d’état without consequences. As long as they don’t use “violent acts”. They can do it with corruption, with deviated information, with criminals in Parliament subtracted from election choices because of the abolition of preferences. These folk, whether they are PDL or PDminusL have taken precautions for the future. Just think if things change in the future. If democracy takes hold in Italy. And if someone asks for an account of these unpunished ones for their actions, even about the tiny coup d’état that they have already done. In that case, they would have recourse to the new Criminal Code, the P2 Code, in the name of justice. Dear Beppe, On 13 March 2006, various articles of the Criminal Code relating to attacks on the State were modified. Surely the country felt a great need for these modifications. The most interesting is that of article 283 of the Criminal Code. It said: ’Anyone who commits a fact aimed at changing the Constitution of the State, or the form of the Government, with methods not allowed for by the constitutional arrangements of the State, is punished with imprisonment for a period not less than 12 years.’ It was been altered to say: ’Anyone, using violent actions, who commits a fact aimed at changing (and appropriate for that) the Constitution of the State, or the form of the Government, with methods not allowed for by the constitutional arrangements of the State, is punished with imprisonment for a period not less than 5 years.’ With violent acts, not going via the party of which he is the boss or by corrupting parliamentarians by using their lovers. Get ready for the Coup, but don’t fear the ‘violent actions’, it will be perfectly ‘legal’. By pure coincidence it brings to mind that it was article 283 that brought the P2 to trial.” PS On 25 April 2008 the TV stations of the whole world recorded V2 Day. In Italy only the Digos recorded it on closed circuit TV. The Australian TV broadcast an hour long programme. Even the Aussies know what is happening in the ‘Bel Paese’. I have extracted and subtitled 10 minutes of the broadcast. It is a great show!

If you see a honeybee that is busy dying, you should be very concerned indeed. Albert Einstein once said that: “Were all the honeybees to disappear, man would only have four years left to live”. Honeybees play a pivotal role in the production of honey, pears, apples, tomatoes, clover, medicinal herbs, milk and meat. They transport the pollen and transform the world around us into food. The honeybee, which is a bio-indicator of environmental health, is a species that is currently at risk. If the honeybee is at risk today, tomorrow it will be our turn. In an article entitled “Honeybee deaths reaching crisis point”, The Guardian reports that fully one third of the total of 240,000 British beehives actually died off during the past winter and spring. British Minister Rooker has stated that if nothing is done to remedy the situation, there will no longer be a single honeybee left on the island within the next ten years. Honeybees contribute some 165 million pounds sterling per year to the British economy through the production of fruit and vegetables. That is, of course, over and above the honey that they produce. The Honey Association predicts that no more locally produced honey will be available in Great Britain by Christmas. New stocks will only become available during the summer of 2009. This, however, is a worldwide crisis. The world’s largest producer of honey is Argentina, where the 75,000 tons produced annually has now dropped by 27%. In the United States (25% fewer beehives in 2008) and the rest of the world, the honeybees are deserting us. In Italy it has been a disaster. Fifty percent of our honeybees died and 200,000 beehives were lost in 2007, resulting in a 250 million Euro loss for the agricultural sector. However, it would seem that this is not a national priority. Apparently, the real priorities are the deployment of soldiers on our streets, gagging the Justice System by means of the separation of duties, gathering the fingerprints of gypsy children, the Alfano Bill to ensure the impunity of the Top Four Gang and Impregilo’s incinerators. These are the real priorities! And why are the honeybees dying you may ask? They are dying because of environment degradation, climate change, Varoa (a type of mite), the conversion of grazing land into fields of Soya beans used in the production of bio fuels, the indiscriminate use of pesticides and the pollution of our water courses. The beehives are being decimated by a phenomenon known as CCD (Colony Collapse Disorder), and all because mankind is busy poisoning our planet. There is something that we can do immediately as far as Italy is concerned. We can prohibit the use of nicotine-based pesticides. They have already done so in France. Nicotine has a disastrous effect on honeybees. It makes them lose their sense of direction, they are then unable to find their hives and so they die. In addition to putting the honeybees at risk, those producing nicotine-based pesticides are also threatening our survival. Please give me a hand by adding your comments to this information posting regarding the manufacturers and users of these pesticides and the consequences for the environment. Anyone who poisons a honeybee is also poisoning you.

The name of "cupcake" is given as it is a small cake the size of a teacup. In previous centuries, before muffin tins were widely available, the cakes were often baked in individual pottery cups, ramekins, or molds. The name "fairy cake" is a fanciful description of its size; an appropriate size for a party of diminutive fairies to share.
Cupcakes are often served during a celebration, such as children's birthday parties. Additionally, they can be served as an accompaniment to afternoon tea. They are a more convenient alternative to cake as they are smaller and don't require utensils or division into individual portions.

A cupcake (the common US term) or fairy cake (the common British term, although it is now used interchangeably with the US term) or Paddy Cake (the common Australian term) is a small cake designed to serve one person, usually made in a small paper cup container. As with larger cakes, frosting and other cake decorations, such as sprinkles, are defining characteristics of modern cupcakes.

The Winds
Since the Lake lies in a basin and is surrounded by ranges of mountains separated by several valleys sloping down towards its shores, there always are drafts and the expanse of water is often subjected to abrupt changes. Sailing on the Lake is no mean feat and might be something of a surprise. When all is relatively still, it may happen that, all of a sudden, a strong wind starts blowing and the water gets rough and stormy; similarly, while sailing fast and with a good wind, you may well suddenly come to a halt and stand almost still in the middle of the Lake for hours. Because of its fickle winds, Lake Como is an ecellent training ground for sailing. As a matter of fact, there are quite a number of sailing schools and clubs all along the shores. During the sailing season, many local and international races take place, especially on the Lecco branch. Here there is a list of the most important winds blowing on the lake and their characteristics: Northerly: Tivano. It is a recurrent and uniform wind blowing from north-east, in the early morning hours, from 6 am to 10 am, all year round. It can reach speeds of up to 5 m/sec. It blows from a valley called “Valtellina” and its absence forebodes bad weather. Southerly: Breva. This wind blows from the south when Tivano starts dropping; it is seldom strong, but lasts long; it blows from 10 am to 6 pm Speed: 7-8 m/sec. These two winds clear up the sky over Lake Como. The next winds in this list are harbingers of bad weather; they can be very strong. Northerly: Vento or Ventone. It blows from Val Chiavenna and may start unexpectedly, any time of the day. Generally it blows for 3 to 7 days, in strong gusts ranging from 40 to 60 kms/h. Southerly: Menaggino. It blows in strong gusts from val Menaggio and is quite fearsome during thunderstorms, particularly in summertime. Bellasco: blows from Val Muggiasca, right over Bellano. Argegnino: blows in strong gusts from Val d'Intelvi. Bergamasca: blows all along the Lecco branch up to the middle of the Lake, where its strength and violence start dropping. Garzeno: blows from the valley ovelooking Dongo. These are summertime winds that blow particularly during thunderstorms and can be quite dangerous. They usually blow in the evening hours.
Ports
Several docks and berths are scattered all along the Lake shores. You can sometimes find well-equipped ports, but most of them, are in bad conditions because of shallow waters and of the precariousness of their wharves. For small sail and motorboats, good berths and beaches can be found near camping grounds, which are mostly located in the northern part of the lake. These areas indicated and described in the maps only when they can easily be approached either through a beach or a wharf.
